Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiatrist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a Physiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, advancing the patient care, research, and teaching missions, and contributing to the field of Physiatry through professional organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general outpatient rehabilitation services, including neurologic, amputation, musculoskeletal, spinal cord injury, polytrauma, and other conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, conduct clinical research, and train residents, medical students, and other trainees.
  • Collaborate with the facility Administrator to purchase supplies and equipment and formulate special regulations and policies applicable to patient care.
  • Ensure that medical records are reviewed to determine appropriate patient care and regulations for governing agencies.
  • Meet with facility physicians, management staff, and departmental chairmen to facilitate daily interdepartmental working relationships.
  • Assist in the establishment of referral sources for the department.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Effective oral and written communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the resident and medical student level
