Job Summary

SMX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support ACIC at Fort Meade, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to manage and maintain complex network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • 30% overseas travel required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and network security.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph.
  • Certifications CCNP and Security+, or equivalent.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with network automation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with software defined networking.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions.
