Job Title: Director of Brand Management and Content Creation

East Carolina University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Brand Management and Content Creation. This key leadership role will be responsible for shaping the creative direction of the university's brand identity and overseeing the editorial, design, and web development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the university's objectives and industry standards.
  • Lead and manage the creative services unit, including ideation, execution, and project management.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Communications Officer and Marketing Director to develop creative strategies that advance the university's strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Establish and enforce brand and identity standards university-wide.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends in higher education and apply best practices in visual design and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field with 5 years of related professional experience.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field with 7 years of related professional experience.
  • Strong portfolio highlighting skills and experience in leading a team of design and editorial professionals.
  • Proficient with industry-standard design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of creative team leadership or related experience.
  • Art direction, marketing campaign, and brand management background is highly desirable.
  • Experience in effectively managing individuals, creative teams, and projects.
