About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our orthopedic practice, you will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and developing treatment plans for patients with functional limitations and disabilities.

As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding patient care and serve as a resource for less knowledgeable staff. You will also supervise assigned support staff and manage department resources wisely.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and Michigan State License in Physical Therapy. BLS certification is also required. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct patient care: Provides a Physical Therapy evaluation, incorporates patient treatment, evaluates, interprets findings, develops treatment and discharge plans, implements treatment, re-evaluates, educates patients and significant others, meets productivity
  • Documents: evaluation results, treatment and discharge plans, and daily treatment according to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards of documentation; submits charges for services provided
  • Maintains verbal, written, and electronic communication and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams, referral sources, physicians, and 3rd-party payors
  • Participates in leadership functions: community outreach, CQI, marketing, cost containment, program development, PTA/AT/aide/student supervision; teaches staff, physicians, and others
