At EngenderHealth, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Development and Major Gifts Officer to join our team.

Location: United States, with preferred locations in DC area, NYC metro, Bay Area, Southern California.

The ideal candidate will develop our major giving program and contribute to our corporate giving effort, enhancing relationships and increasing revenue through strategic materials and personal connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging donor communications, including personalized letters and reports, to foster meaningful relationships.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to meet with donors and prospective donors, deepening connections and securing donations.
  • Prep your colleagues for meetings with major donors, ensuring a professional and confident approach.
  • Work collaboratively to design and execute comprehensive plans for raising unrestricted revenue from individual donors and corporations.
  • Maintain accurate database entries for key individuals in the giving portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development of a corporate giving program, promoting partnerships and growth.
  • Supervise the Development Officer and support their professional growth.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive philanthropy experience with success in major gifts and/or corporate fundraising.
  • Preferred experience with family and community foundations, donor-advised funds, planned giving, and corporate giving.
  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with donor databases, prospect research, and fundraising software is required.
  • Ability to travel regularly and commitment to participate in team weeks are necessary.

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 per year, based on location and experience.
