Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical exams.
  • Interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures, subjective and objective data to formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis.
  • Formulate a treatment plan for orthopaedic problems within the scope of practice.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions when appropriate.
  • Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising orthopaedic surgeon or other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Kentucky state registered nurse license, advanced practice registered nurse with prescriptive authority and MSN required.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Minimum of two years prior orthopaedic experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing for 80% of the time and involves using appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is also required.
