  • Interface with licensing activities related to Safety Analysis Reports.
  • Participate in design reviews at key project milestones to verify design compliance and completeness.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical systems design.
  • Proven experience in the design of complex structures, multi-discipline integration, and mechanical pressure vessel equipment.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and design control tools, especially in nuclear or complex industrial applications.
  • Experience with nuclear reactors and systems, high-temperature pressure vessels, or similar system design is highly desired.
  • Functional knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BVPC), Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV), or Regulatory Guide 1.20 is highly preferred.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to technical excellence.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and coordinate with a design team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage competing objectives and resolve conflicts between design constraints.
  • Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 in design activities.
