Job Description

As a Regional Service Manager at The Bainbridge Companies, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of a portfolio of properties. This role requires a strong understanding of maintenance practices, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quarterly maintenance inspections to ensure properties are well-maintained
  • Recruit, train, and develop onsite teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties
  • Assist with takeovers and dispositions of properties to ensure a smooth transition
  • Set standards for maintenance operations and ensure they are met
  • Supervise overall maintenance operations to optimize performance and achieve company goals
  • Develop and implement annual operation and capital improvement budgets
  • Manage vendors and contracts to ensure they meet company standards
  • Assist in developing and adhering to policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Multisite, multifamily apartment management experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor
  • EPA Type I and II certification required
  • Knowledge of multiple types of HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • Ability to fluently read and write English
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions

Typical Physical Demands:

Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light to heavy weight material/appliances/equipment up to 50 pounds for variable distances, climbing ladders/stairs, and walking on rooftops without endangering yourself, residents, or co-workers.

Typical Mental Demands:

Must be able to read and write in English at an intermediate level to read diagrams, meters, instructions, and write reports. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and plans. Must be able to deal with moderate to high levels of stress due to meeting deadlines, reprioritizing activities, and supervising employees.

Licenses/Equipment:

  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required
  • EPA certification Type I and II
  • Other licenses and certification as required by Bainbridge, state, or federal law
  • Use of general maintenance equipment, including hand tools, ladders, refrigerant recovery units, landscaping equipment, and required safety equipment
