TrueCare is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at our Family Clinic in Carlsbad. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examination
  • Draw blood and administer medications
  • Answer phone calls and register new patients
  • Schedule appointments and collect and post fees

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare related courses
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
  • 6 months experience with documentation in an HER system
  • Phlebotomy training

Certifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate (from an accredited school)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers (from the American Heart Association)
