Job Overview

As a Field Service Automation Specialist at Juki America, Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting customers with our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Plated Through Hole (PTH) equipment. Your primary focus will be on providing direct onsite customer service for installation, warranty, courtesy, and paid services.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including experience with electro-mechanical equipment and related communication/machine control software. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, particularly Virtual/Mixed Reality apps, is also desired. Additionally, strong professional communication skills and data organization experience are essential for success in this role.

We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently without direct supervision, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset. Previous experience with Juki SMT machines and line solutions is preferred but not required. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate paid service quotations upon request from customers.
  • Offer area warranty and courtesy visit service support to customers.
  • Install and service Juki SMT Automation Systems in local service areas primarily, and outside areas as assigned by the Regional Service Manager secondarily.
  • Recondition and refurbish used machinery for resale.
  • Offer technical support for trade shows and equipment demonstrations as required.
  • Coordinate with Operations to order parts required for service visits, parts return, and warranty issues via the RMA coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager to obtain information from external agencies to resolve service issues.
  • Provide installation training for customers.
  • Complete and file necessary paperwork, such as Field Service Reports, Post Installation Checklists, Return Material Claim Notices, Technical Assistance Claim Notices, etc., according to company policies and practices.
  • Assist in developing technical documentation, such as training materials and service bulletins.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction with Juki machines and services.
  • Participate in machine training courses for new equipment as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience with electro-mechanical equipment and related communication/machine control software.
  • Formal schooling and certification from a technical college, military school, or other accredited institution in engineering or technical subject matter is desirable.
  • Ability to maintain, create, and focus on documentation, details, and records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, particularly Virtual/Mixed Reality apps.
  • Strong professional communication skills and data organization experience.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Juki SMT machines and line solutions is preferred.
Estimated Salary

$75,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience level and job location.
