Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Fresh Express.
About the Role:
The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and modifying all processing, packaging, and facility electrical equipment with optimal quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance is essential for this position.
- Compliance to SOPs, GMPs, Housekeeping, Safety, and all other FE policies.
- Assist supervisors with daily activities, including training and monitoring employees.
- Operate CMMS systems to complete work orders and log corrective maintenance issues.
- Effectively communicate with Technical Support, production personnel, and mechanics to identify problematic areas.
- Maintain equipment and perform basic and complex electrical tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Repair 100% of equipment without direction.
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot PLC Controls, AC & DC motor controls, solid state motor controls, advanced circuits, and grounding.
- Assist in procuring parts and planning repairs.
- Lead complex projects, preventive maintenance activities, and repairs across the facility.
- Support facility maintenance equipment, including waste water equipment, compressed air, refrigeration, and building safety equipment.
- Demonstrate understanding of company objectives, including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals.
- Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and follow periodic preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain organized documentation and inspection records.
- Model professional workplace conduct and adhere to company policies.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum High School diploma/GED, some Technical School coursework, or Mechanical degree preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience with industrial, high-speed processing, packaging, and inspection equipment. Food processing industry experience preferred.
Skills:
- Programming and installing frequency drives on equipment.
- Electrical installation skills and troubleshooting experience with control circuits.
- Designing control panels and refurbishing old ones.
- Reading and understanding electrical and PLC diagrams.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
- Ability to work with single and three-phase voltage.
- Capable of reading electrical/mechanical blueprints.
- Troubleshooting and making repairs on AB PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
- Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track work orders, PMs, and inventory.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to demonstrate math skills as part of daily activities.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
