Affordable Housing Liaison

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit organization, is seeking a full-time Housing Specialist in the southern region. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating information and referrals for housing placements within the assigned area.

This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, landlords, linkage agencies, referral sources, and government housing agencies. The Housing Specialist will provide technical assistance to the support services team as it relates to identifying affordable housing opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skills. They will also be detail-oriented and able to complete requirements of files and contract compliance. A commitment to helping others and proficiency in MS Office products are essential qualities for this position.

Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline or any equivalent combination of education and mental health experience is required. Experience working with individuals with mental health illnesses and/or persons with disabilities is necessary. Additionally, knowledge of State and local housing regulations and bilingual skills are preferred.

In exchange for their expertise, the selected candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of $20.67-$21.39. This includes a benefit package featuring six weeks of paid time off and eleven holidays per year.
