Echocardiographic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographic Technologist to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiographic and non-invasive cardiologic examination services to patients of all ages.
ResponsibilitiesSome of your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and positioning patients and equipment in a safe manner
- Performing and processing M-Mode, Two-dimensional, Color Flow and Doppler Echocardiograms
- Maintaining, compiling, calculating and preparing findings for physician interpretation and archiving
- Obtaining high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images
- Maintaining proactive, effective communication with patients and radiologists regarding findings, patient histories and test results
- Collaborating and conferring with colleagues and members of the healthcare team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of one year of experience in adult echocardiography
- An AA, AS degree or proof of equivalent college hours in health science, natural science, nursing or any other program with primary science content, or a Cardiovascular Program
- Current Ultrasound registry
- Registry required within one year of hire date with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) or The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS)
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support provider approved by American Heart Association
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
