">Job Summary
">The Student Nurse Technician (SNT) is a vital member of the healthcare team, providing daily services involving basic care for patients. As an SNT, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care and support.
">Responsibilities

Obtain and record vital signs and other measurements accurately and efficiently.
">">Complete baths, skin care, and personal hygiene tasks for patients, including backrubs.
">">Ensure fluids and foods are available and assist with feeding activities, recording patient intake and output.
">">Assist with patient admissions/transfers/discharges and set up rooms for admission, including isolation rooms.
">">Promptly respond to patient care needs, requests, and call lights, working independently to complete daily routines without delay.
">">Apply ice packs, restraints (after RN initiation), and binders as needed.
">">Collect specimens and empty drainage devices, performing post-mortem care and urinary catheter care.
">">Prepare equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures performed by physicians or nurses.
">">Report information and observations promptly to the appropriate nurse, sharing responsibility for preparing and caring for equipment and supplies.
">">Empty linen hampers, administer sitz baths, and assist patients with bedpans and urinals.
">">Perform shave preps, remove Foley catheters, discontinue peripheral IVs, and perform subsequent dressing changes after initial dressing change by RN.
">">Apply wound VACs under direct RN supervision, remove sutures, and staples.
">">Insert Foley catheters, irrigate Foley catheters at the direction of an RN, flush eyes and ears (ED only), check visual acuity (ED only), and perform EKGs (ED only).
">">Place patients on cardiac monitors/telemetry, take nasal swabs, throat swabs, and place patients on oxygen.
">">Document admission histories, complete Home Medication Lists (SNT only), apply AEDs, and use plexipulses and SCDs (at the direction of an RN).
">">Conduct Point of Care Testing or carbohydrate counting as needed.

Education and Experience
">To be eligible for this role, you must have completed clinical lab check-offs from an accredited RN program and hold a letter from an accredited RN program verifying good standing.
">Schedule and Benefits
">This position offers a 24-hour day shift schedule with 11:00 am - 11:30 pm hours.
">Reid Health provides a competitive salary range of $25.50-$31.21 per hour based on experience, plus additional benefits such as daycare, Doordash, SmartDollar, Daily Pay, therapy dogs, massages, and more.
