Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a member of our labor and delivery department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing childbirth and related procedures.

You will work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes. Your duties may include:

  • Assessing patients' medical conditions and developing individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to emergencies
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid Alaska RN license
  • At least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or a related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
