Talent Software Services is seeking a dedicated Geriatric Nursing Care Specialist to join our team.

About the Role: This position carries out all geriatric nursing care, treatment, and services in a professional and prescribed manner within the scope of license. The successful candidate will provide a safe, therapeutic, and hygienic environment for residents, assigning and overseeing duties of subordinate staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides a variety of nursing care for infirm geriatric residents;
Oversees and trains subordinate staff in specific resident care;
Observes and reports resident behavior and physical condition;
Administers medical treatment and intervention according to the plan of care;
Acts as lead or performs limited supervision on an assignment;

In this role, you will work under the supervision of an RN or physician. If assigned as charge nurse, you will oversee the functions of all other Geriatric LPNs 2 on the unit, as well as Certified Nursing Assistants. The number of positions typically assigned to work on a unit varies according to the shift.

Requirements:
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment;
