Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Surveyor to join our Survey Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing survey projects, overseeing project budgets, and supervising survey technicians and survey parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee survey projects, including project scheduling, budgets, and billing.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to secure additional survey projects.
- Supervise and motivate survey technicians and survey parties to ensure quality project delivery.
- Plan and coordinate work of field survey parties, including boundary, topographic, and design surveys, as well as construction staking activities.
- Manage workload, staffing, and quality control for all survey efforts.
- Develop and mentor staff to improve their skills and performance.
- Project management, including budgeting, scoping, and scheduling for small, moderate, and large land survey projects.
- Coordinate survey efforts with other groups in an integrated services environment.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in land surveying.
- Bachelor's degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- California Professional Land Surveyor license.
- Strong knowledge of land surveying, including technical aspects.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with local subdivision and zoning requirements.
- Ability to direct and monitor construction layout services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate with others.
