We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychiatric and medical evaluation and treatment, including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, crisis therapy, and health care screening.
Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor individuals with psychiatric and substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers for comprehensive care.
- Provide crisis assessment and manage risk for patients in distress.
- Document care in our electronic medical record according to Medicare and Medi-Cal standards.
- Submit written reports and oral testimony in commitment and other legal proceedings.
- Train staff in integrated treatment and provide vacation/leave of absence clinical coverage.
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Valid California Registered Nurse license and Nurse Practitioner certificate.
- Valid DEA registration and California Furnishing Number.
- Board certification by ANCC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience.
- Active malpractice insurance and BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
The position requires frequent communication, sitting, typing, and repetitive computer use. Ability to lift 50 pounds at times. Local travel and transport required.
