Job Summary:

The Associate Dean, Workforce Development will play a key role in building schedules to meet student needs, offering programs for student success, and guiding adjunct faculty on instructional methods and technology. This position will provide instructional leadership for 80 adjunct faculty across 23 disciplines, as well as for the Learning Commons and Tutoring Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create multiple discipline schedules to ensure optimal delivery of instruction
  • Hire part-time workers, work study students, and qualified adjunct faculty to ensure instruction delivery for various delivery modalities
  • Approve payroll records and ensure administrative support services are provided to students, faculty, and staff
  • Observe, train, and audit adjunct faculty members and work study students to ensure quality of instruction meets the mission and vision of the college
  • Request and approve budgetary items for the Learning Commons and Tutoring Center
  • Perform SACS-related audit of syllabi and curriculum vitae
  • Resolve student and faculty issues to ensure optimal delivery of instruction
  • Mentor adjunct faculty to ensure quality of instruction meets the mission and vision of the college
  • Coordinate FCAT meetings to disseminate instructional information to college stakeholders
  • Coordinate All Faculty Night for all faculty and staff
  • Utilize SharePoint as an instructional resource for troubleshooting issues, building course schedules, and tracking adjunct faculty accountability measures
  • Communicate instructional updates and questions to leadership team
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration on new course offerings, course formats, and coordinating events
