Job Summary

The Medical Office Nurse is responsible for providing nursing services in an office setting, working as part of a care team to improve the execution of quality requirements, increase throughput, and enhance the overall patient experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions
  1. Nursing Services: Provides nursing services in an office setting, including but not limited to: administering medications, performing venipuncture, collecting specimens, and tracking laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  2. Patient Interaction: Interacts with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, providing education on medication management, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
  3. Documentation: Accurately documents all patient interactions, medical history, and test results in the patient's medical record.
  4. Triage: Participates in telephone triage by obtaining clinically appropriate data and symptoms from patients and advising them according to established protocols.
  5. Pre-Visit Planning: Collaborates with the provider and care team to pre-visit plan, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and prepared for the patient's visit.
  6. Instrument and Room Clean-Up: Assists providers during procedures and examinations and performs instrument and room clean-up.
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current license to practice in NC or SC (dependent on the practice's physical location)
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of practical nursing
  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • BLS required per policy guidelines
Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
