Position Overview: Tax Manager

Salary: $120,000.00

We are collaborating with a prominent CPA firm to identify a qualified Tax Manager. Below is a detailed overview of the role and its requirements.

Essential Qualifications for the Tax Manager:

#1. CPA certification or a commitment to obtain it.

#2. Minimum of 3 years in tax management roles.

#3. Proficiency in preparing tax returns for Not-for-Profit organizations.

#4. Experience with individual, corporate, and partnership tax filings.

#5. A maximum of 3 positions held in the last decade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Engagement with clients to collect necessary documentation.
  • Provision of outsourced CFO services.
  • Preparation of 1099 forms and Business Personal Property Tax listings.
  • Collaboration with management to develop tax strategies for clients.
  • Response to tax inquiries and notices.
  • Annual reconciliation of accounting records.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred).
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • CPA license or candidate status.
  • Experience in preparing tax returns for individuals and closely held businesses, including pass-through entities (S Corporations and Partnerships).
  • Familiarity with High Net-Worth Individual and multi-state tax returns is advantageous.
  • Experience with Not-for-Profit entity tax returns.
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
  • Proficient in accounting, analytical, and research skills with a commitment to professional growth.
  • Capability to convey essential information to partners, managers, and clients.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a team and undertake administrative tasks as needed.
