Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Engagement Liaison to join our team at Henry County Schools. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering strong relationships between parents, families, and the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Parent Resource Center: Oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for parents and families.
  • Develop and Maintain Parent Resources: Create and update a comprehensive library of resources, providing training and support to parents on various topics, including Title I, ESSA, and school improvement.
  • Assist Parents with Understanding School Reports: Help parents comprehend progress reports, school progress reports, and report cards, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their child's education.
  • Coordinate Family Engagement Activities: Organize and facilitate workshops, meetings, and events that promote parent involvement and partnership in their child's education.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain regular communication with parents, families, and school staff, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Manage Family Engagement Surveys and Evaluations: Conduct regular surveys and evaluations to assess the effectiveness of family engagement programs and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
  • Develop Partnerships with Community Agencies: Establish and maintain relationships with local community agencies, providing resources and support to families in need.
  • Support School Council and Committee: Collaborate with the school council and committee to develop and implement strategies that promote parent involvement and engagement.
  • Perform Other Duties: Assist with various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the principal or designee.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: Required.
  • Experience Working with Title I Programs: Preferred.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Federal Programs: Preferred.
  • Microsoft Office and Google Suite Skills: Preferred.
  • Exceptional Integrity and Confidentiality: Essential.
  • Ability to Work Regularly and Reliably: Required.
  • Ability to Perform Physical Tasks: Required.
  • Ability to Supervise Students: Essential.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Essential.
