Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Gastrointestinal Care Specialist to join our team at United Surgical Partners. This role is a critical part of our perioperative services, requiring strong nursing skills and attention to detail.

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality patient care using the nursing process and medical plan of care in various settings. As a Gastrointestinal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective patient-family centered care, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Support the organization's mission and vision by promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork, customer service, accountability, and innovation.
  • Establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Georgia Nursing License.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with ambulatory surgical setting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
  • Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • Demonstrated strong professional and ethical behavior, teamwork, customer service, and accountability.
  • Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology.
