Role SummaryAs a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will work with complex cases involving serious eating disorders. Your responsibilities include assessing clients, determining referral needs, providing group therapy, family therapy, and group education, as well as formulating and implementing treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Assessment and Therapy: Perform and interpret assessments relevant to eating disorder treatment, provide individual therapy sessions, and adapt interventions to meet client needs.
- Documentation and Communication: Complete thorough documentation within established timeframes, including progress notes, weekly therapy assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate with the outpatient team to ensure continuity of care and provide updates on client progress.
- Training and Supervision: Attend weekly training and individual/group supervisions as assigned.
- Clinical Support: Assist direct care in providing observations, managing milieu conflict, and supporting clients.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis stabilization for clients who become de-escalated.
- Client Check-ins: Conduct regular check-ins with clients based on their needs.
- On-call Coverage: Provide on-call coverage during assigned times.
- A Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or a related field (AMFT, ACSW, LPC, PhD).
- Two years' recent experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eligibility for registration with relevant professional associations.
