As a Nursing Care Specialist on our Medical Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and families. Your expertise and passion for healthcare will make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

This position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care across various healthcare settings. You will be accountable for upholding the standards of nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Additionally, you will delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel using established criteria from the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

You will serve as a valuable resource for your colleagues, providing guidance and support as needed. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage minor scheduling, and inspect work will contribute significantly to the success of our team.

In this role, you will not be responsible for hiring, firing, disciplining, promoting, demoting, transferring, or appraising staff. However, you may be consulted by higher management in these areas. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess a current license from the State of Ohio, have successfully completed an Ohio Board of Nursing-approved medication course, and hold Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Your work schedule may vary, and you can expect to work approximately 1 scheduled hour per week. You will be part of the dynamic Medical Unit 4 team in our organization.
