Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building systems and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of facilities for meetings, events, and other activities.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks, including washing walls and equipment.
  • Operate the building fire suppression system and other safety equipment.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the building management control system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of full-time paid experience working in a maintenance or skilled trades role.
  • A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with staff and visitors.
  • Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, noise, and physical demands. The employee must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work assignments.
