Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Froedtert Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our pharmacy staff and providing technical and clerical assistance to our pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations of pharmacy technician staff at assigned locations
- Provide technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy
- Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
- Leadership training is preferred
- Experience with various computer systems and programs
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire
