Job Summary:

Calpine Corporation is a leading generator of electricity from natural gas and geothermal resources. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring the efficient operation of our power plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment and instrumentation
  • Monitor and maintain plant Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Optimize plant preventative maintenance program to meet OEM recommendations and regulatory requirements
  • Provide written reports on control system conditions when required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in instrument/electrical and control system applications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with advanced understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics
  • Experience with DCS programming and configuration
