Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity at Knoxville Center for Autism

We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team at the Knoxville Center for Autism. Our center specializes in providing ABA-VB therapy to children aged 2-10 with an Autism Diagnosis.

About the Role

In this position, you will operate within our clinic, conducting engaging and effective speech sessions lasting between 30 minutes to 1 hour. We are looking for a qualified candidate with a proven track record of experience in working with children diagnosed with autism, coupled with the ability to adeptly handle behavioral challenges that may arise during sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting initial assessments and reassessments as needed
  • Leading sessions (30min - 1 hour in length) in a clinical setting
  • Providing parent support and training sessions as required
  • Completing session notes and reports daily
  • Collaborating with professionals at KCA to coordinate care
  • Managing a caseload of clients
  • Experience teaching and working with different Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA CCC certification
  • Active State License
  • Knowledge of working with children using AAC devices
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Benefits
  • PAY: $**60,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience
