Job Summary:

The Perinatal Educator is a clinical nurse responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating family health information available to expectant parents. This role requires a strong knowledge base through clinical and educational activities, and the ability to interface with various perinatal areas, community resources, and local/national childbirth education organizations. The Educator is accountable for compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies, and provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and present program curricula
* Maintain a current knowledge base through clinical and educational activities
* Interface with perinatal areas, community resources, and local/national organizations
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies

Requirements:

* Clinical nursing experience
* Strong knowledge of perinatal care and education
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
