Overview

Direct Orthopedic Care (DOC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician to join our team in growing a non-opioid pain management practice. Our focus is on interventional procedures, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes to enhance patient functionality.

Job Description

This role offers autonomy to build your own practice, working closely with a pain management physician in a collaborative environment. You will have access to in-house X-rays, ultrasound machines, physical therapy, and orthopedic specialists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients by obtaining a comprehensive history and performing a thorough physical examination.
  • Order relevant imaging studies, lab tests, and medical provider referrals as necessary.
  • Prescribe appropriate interventional procedures to diagnose and treat various pain issues.
  • Perform in-office injections, such as peripheral joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.
  • Document patient information, including history, physical exam, lab results, imaging results, and treatment plans in an electronic medical record in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, who can effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Key qualifications include:

  • A cooperative work attitude towards colleagues, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.
  • The ability to promote a positive image of DOC among physicians, patients, hospitals, and the general public.
  • An eagerness to learn and ask questions.
  • The ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work late some days and through lunch breaks on busy clinic days.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • NP or PA board certification.
  • A valid Texas license.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • An empathetic approach to patient care.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
