Job Summary

To provide high-quality diagnostic CT or general radiography exams in an efficient and caring manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and efficient operation of CT, diagnostic, and accessory equipment.
  • Provide assistance in departmental activities as needed.
  • Participate in QA/QC activities.
  • Perform patient care functions relevant to the needs and behavior of all age groups.
  • Remain aware of the physical or emotional needs of patients and their families.
  • Assist physicians with the administration of contrast agents.
  • Operate Meditech, HIS/RIS, and PACS computer systems.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and programs.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology.
  • Registration with the ARRT or registry eligible.
  • Certification from the State of Iowa.
  • BCLS certification.
Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level is moderate.
