We are seeking a qualified Military Family Life Counselor to join our team at Leidos.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $55,250.00 and $99,875.00 per year.

Job Description

This role involves providing non-medical counseling services to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth in military families.

You will work closely with installation staff, parents, and families to support their well-being and provide solution-focused approaches to address challenges.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and youth, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to build rapport with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Work with children aged 0-5 in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and provide coaching, guidance, and support to staff and parents.
  • Observe, participate, and engage in activities with children and youth; offer presentations on social skills development and social-emotional learning.
  • Build relationships with parents and families through community events and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and communicate trends and issues to Team Leads.
Requirements
  • A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions.
  • Licensure to practice at the independent level in the United States.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances.
