Medical Laboratory Technician

MetaSense, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities- Specialty: Medical Lab Technician
- Discipline: Allied Health Professional
- Duration: 8 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, days, nights
- Employment Type: Local Contract
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. You may also perform phlebotomy as needed.
Requirements:
- Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) required.
Skills:
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) – Required
Education:
- Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science - Required
Certifications & Licenses:
- Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)
- Phlebotomist -Required Certification
This position focuses more on clerical and customer service. The candidate will be making phone calls and performing critical value calling. Prefer candidates to have experience with SunQuest and Epic.
Schedule:
- 1 shift: 10am - 6:30pm
- 1 shift 6pm - 2:30am
