At Lee College, we are seeking a qualified Economics Instructor to teach part-time in our correctional facilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the academic success of our institution.

About the Position

This is a part-time position, filled on an as-needed basis prior to or during the start of each semester. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching freshman and sophomore-level Economics courses to students in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials
  • Maintain accurate student accounting records in compliance with Lee College requirements
  • Submit required student reports to the Admissions & Records Office according to schedule
  • Direct and evaluate the learning experience of students in accordance with adopted curricula and approved procedures
Requirements
  • A Master's degree (or higher) in the teaching field or a Master's degree (or higher) with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field
  • Candidates must pass a criminal background check by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ)
