Director of Marketing and Communications

About the Role:
The Director of Marketing and Communications will serve as the central brand strategist, leader, and steward for Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. This role will lead integrated communications and marketing efforts to promote the Health Center's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a long-term marketing and communications plan approved by the COO and CEO.
- Partner with the Virginia Garcia Memorial Foundation to support key fundraising goals through marketing and media initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, craft, and execute effective cross-departmental marketing and communications strategies.
- Manage the reputation and elevation of the Health Center brand through consistent messaging and materials.
- Develop and implement public relations and communications strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on issues management and crisis management plans.
- Manage the Health Center's public website and leverage communication and brand strategy to ensure design and messaging are consistent with other marketing efforts.
- Attend and facilitate events that foster key relationships with community leaders and establish the Health Center as a strategic partner and thought leader.
- Manage video content creation and all official social media platforms for the Health Center.
- Cross-departmental collaboration to support the management and execution of a communication strategy for all Health Center events.
Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing and communications.
- Management and supervisory experience required.
- Public speaking experience required.
- Experience working with local press required.
- Experience in brand development and implementation.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
