Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at SUPERVALU. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting our pharmacists with processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, verifying patient information, and gathering necessary demographic and insurance data.
  • Process prescription returns, maintain sales records, and ensure confidentiality of patient records.
  • Order, check-in, and stock prescription medication, and perform department receiving and stocking duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Comply with standard operating procedures for handling and dispensing hazardous drugs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment, including personal computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
