About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at University Family Dentistry. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their dental journey.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required by the state dental practice act.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
