Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data architecture and design alongside Midstream's founders, senior engineering staff, and advisors.
  • Implement our core data processing platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Own the design and build of robust data pipelines, enhancing data storage and warehousing solutions, and optimizing ELT processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive ML model deployment infrastructure capabilities, guiding the team on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Spearhead code quality initiatives by conducting in-depth code reviews, implementing advanced testing frameworks, and setting coding standards.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes, serving as a mentor for junior engineers and helping to elevate the team's skill sets.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison between engineering, product, and business teams, ensuring that solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Help to build the engineering team: Hire, mentor and lead junior engineering team members.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
  • Expertise in multiple high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#), as well as familiarity with cloud data & computing platforms and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with data warehousing (Snowflake, etc...) and data processing technologies.

Total Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $160K - $220K per year, along with meaningful equity in an early stage company.
