About the Role

This senior-level position requires 7+ years of experience in Localization and Mapping. As a Localization Engineer, you will develop and implement cutting-edge localization systems for inspection robots.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of SLAM systems and real-time localization technologies. Experience with C++, Python, ROS, Docker, and Git is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of localization codebase
  • Design, implement, and test localization and mapping systems
  • Develop novel technologies for challenging environments
  • Collaborate with partner teams
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers
  • Test localization solutions hands-on
  • Stay informed on state-of-the-art localization technologies
  • Contribute to expanding the company's Intellectual Property portfolio
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience developing SLAM systems
  • Expert production programming experience in C++ and Python
  • 7+ years of experience with real-time localization systems
  • Leadership skills in large system designs
  • Collaboration skills across teams and departments
  • Skill gathering system requirements and identifying key stakeholders
  • Experience with ROS, Docker, and Git
  • Experience deploying localization solutions to the field
