Job Summary

The Pharmacy Drug Shortage Manager is a key role within the Enterprise Pharmacy's Central Purchasing Team, responsible for providing leadership in managing drug shortages to ensure high-quality and cost-effective patient care. This position will primarily support Jefferson's LVHN facilities and pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement drug shortage monitoring and mitigation procedures and methods across the Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with local pharmacy teams and analysts to make strategic and efficient recommendations and execute actions for procurement and savings opportunities.
  • Manage and develop assigned direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and maintain compliance with data security and privacy standards.
  • Analyze and interpret data from external organizations, such as URAC, TJC, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, to inform business initiatives.
  • Requires a BS in Pharmacy with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Registered Pharmacist in Pennsylvania required.
  • At least 3 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to work independently and systematically to analyze complex problems.
