Job Title: Driver - Full Time Position

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team at The Arc of Anchorage. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and individuals in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete daily routes in the most efficient manner possible, with an average quota of 15 stops per hour.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from the Manager and locate scheduled deliveries from the Savers app.
  • Perform daily safety checks and report any issues to the Manager.
  • Load and unload trucks in the prescribed manner and distribute receipts to customers at all pickups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude towards other staff and the public.
  • Work as a team member with other drivers and provide assistance when requested.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, inside and out, and report any property damage to the Manager.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Background checks as defined by licensing agencies.
  • TB Assessment.
  • Satisfactory completion of Arc driver's paid training or ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to drive a van.
  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be physically able to evacuate individuals in the event of an emergency.
Equipment Used:
  • Cube Van.
  • Computer (Beginner Level).
