Job Summary

This role focuses on providing medical and clinical support services to patients. In addition, this role focuses on performing various cardiology-related duties, including evaluating physical conditions related to blood flow and pressure in the coronary arteries and heart chambers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology and be able to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates physical conditions related to blood flow and pressure in the coronary arteries and heart chambers using specialized imaging and diagnostic techniques.

• Performs clinical testing on blood gases, oxygen saturations, and activated clotting times according to established policies and procedures.

• Operates EKG machines to record electrical impulses of the heart muscle and performs minor equipment adjustments as needed.

• Utilizes appropriate equipment to perform various special procedures related to measuring heart muscle function, such as Holter monitoring and pacemaker evaluations.

• Provides preventive maintenance of recorder and edits tracings for interpretation by physician, recording necessary patient information and tests performed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of EKG course and EKG Certificate.

• Basic Life Support Certification.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

• Two (2) years of related EKG/Holter Monitor experience or working in a cardiology clinic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.

• Four (4) years of related EKG/Holter Monitor experience or working in a cardiology clinic.
