OR Nurse

TotalMed Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join their team in Tucson, Arizona. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized care throughout surgical procedures and work collaboratively with skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals.

About the Role:
The OR Nurse will be responsible for preparing the Operating Room team, maintaining aseptic conditions, and assisting surgeons during procedures. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing specialized nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety.
• Preparing operating rooms for surgery, including setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring aseptic conditions.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members.
• Monitoring patient vital signs and assisting with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery.
• Providing postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess current RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of recent OR nursing experience. Strong communication and adaptability skills are essential for effective collaboration within the surgical team.

Compensation:
