About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Steel Fabricator to join our team at Veltri Steel, LLC. in Austin, TX.

Job Description

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in ironworking, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing teams of ironworkers on large-scale construction projects across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of steel fabrication techniques, including reading blueprints and specifications, cutting, positioning, and bolting down steel bars, and connecting columns, beams, and girders with bolts.

They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to direct the operation of cranes and other heavy equipment, and ensure quality workmanship on all completed work.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of ironworking experience
  • Valid driver's license or state ID
  • Pass background check (no felonies or misdemeanor classes A and B)
  • Pass drug screen
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certificate or completion certificate
  • Work authorization in US

Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
