Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $115,000 - $125,000, depending on location and other factors. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-/short-term disability plans. We also provide retirement savings plans, commuter benefits, and extensive training opportunities.

Job Description

As a Java Developer at Synechron, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Java applications using best practices and design patterns. You will design and implement data pipelines and streaming applications using Apache Kafka, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Additionally, you will ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through continuous testing and integration, troubleshoot and debug applications, and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Solid professional experience in Java development
  • Strong experience with Apache Kafka, including configuration, deployment, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of financial services products and services, including banking operations, payments, risk management, or regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
