Job Summary

The Overnight Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of all areas within the Planet Fitness facility, ensuring a positive experience for members.

This is a full-time position with hours from 10pm to 6am, Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet members, prospective members, and guests by providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Club Manager as needed.
  • Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and gym floor.
  • Monitor the safety of persons and cleanliness in the club, reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
  • Follow the Lost and Found Policy, turning in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Cleaning background preferred.
  • Customer Service background preferred.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • An upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability are must-haves.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and coworkers.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Demands:

  • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Acknowledge members while maintaining the facility.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Will dilute and clean with chemicals throughout shift.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, restrooms, and surfaces throughout the club.
  • Monitor the club and assist members throughout the entirety of the shift.

Estimated Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience and location. This salary range is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
