Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for engineering students to gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects within the Bison business unit at AMETEK, Inc.
Our division designs and manufactures cutting-edge motors, blowers, pumps, motor drives, and associated electronics for demanding industries.
As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will work independently and collaboratively with experienced engineers to support various engineering functions and tasks, gaining valuable career experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with experienced engineers to design, test, document, and validate new components and products
- Build, document, and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, blowers, drives, software, circuitry, and other products
- Conduct tests, analyze data, and provide formal report-outs on findings and recommendations
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program at an accredited university; Mechanical Engineering majors would typically be a good fit, but similar majors are considered
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email to effectively communicate with others is highly beneficial
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
