We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Accurately assign triage categories and maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, identifying and addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
- Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning, involving family in teaching as appropriate.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BLS.
- ACLS & PALS Certification within 3 months of hire.
