At Fortinet, we are seeking a highly skilled High-Level Security Solutions Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting sales activities as a strategic and high-level technical resource for vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Core Competency: Stay up-to-date with Fortinet's enhanced tech product line and technologies, including expert-level knowledge in Network Access and Identity Management Technologies - FortiNAC, FortiAuthenticator, FortiTrust-ID, FortiToken, FortiPAM, and FortiGuest.
  • Support Field Systems Engineers: Act as a subject-matter expert to support US-based Field Systems Engineers in pre-sales design reviews and provide authoritative guidance and leadership.
  • Lead Secure Solution Design: Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure NIAM-based solutions utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet's product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide support to System Engineers at various events in the U.S. and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.
  • Virtual Team Leadership: Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the U.S. Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.
  • Product Development: Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet's success.
  • Collateral Development: Write whitepapers, tech notes, and create other high-level technical collateral, as required.
  • Partner Interface: Interface with Fortinet's Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Channel Engineers.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of IP networks, AAA, and protocols.
  • NAC Solutions: Extensive knowledge of FortiNAC Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
  • IDM Solutions: Extensive knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions (FortiAuthenticator, FortiTrust-ID, FortiToken, FortiPAM, FortiGuest).
  • Security Knowledge: Good knowledge of security as a whole, processes, key operational concepts, network security technologies, including SIEM, EMS, NGFW, SSO, AAA, Zero Trust concepts.
  • Competitive Products: Knowledge of other competitive products such as Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, and/or Forescout.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, focused on reaching frequent evolving objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Presentation and public speaking skills to various audience types and sizes.
  • Evaluation Process: Experience with effective evaluation process and closure (will be a plus).
  • API Awareness: API awareness and applications (will be a plus).
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel regularly.
Education:

BSEE or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
